our opinion that underlying the market uncertainty over the U.S.
Presidential election outcome are significant long-term concerns about the
future growth prospects of companies here and abroad. The concerns are
serious and real… Stockprowler addressed these concerns in our October

what stocks we have on the radar screen in addition to the current pick.

$2.18 Boca Raton, Florida based Registry Magic, Inc. designs, develops, and markets proprietary speech recognition technology products and services. The Company's initial product is the Virtual Operator, a speech driven auto-attendant and call routing turnkey product that has received a number of industry awards. This product is being marketed and installed through both independent resellers and a direct sales force. In addition to product sales, the Company is also seeking to license its proprietary speech driven products to telephone switch and voice-mail manufacturers on an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) basis. Virtual Operator is a speech driven auto-attendant that enables a caller to request connection to a person or department by speaking into a telephone in a natural manner. A caller does not need to remember the extension of the person or department to whom the caller wishes to speak, and the caller is not required to enter touch-tones to transfer to a desired department. Additionally, a caller can interrupt a prompt at any time and state the caller's request without waiting for the prompt to finish. The Company believes that this product can be successful in the international market, where it can automate telephone systems that do not support touch-tone. Depending on individual configuration, the Virtual Operator has the ability to answer up to twelve calls at once without placing a caller on-hold, and function seven days a week, twenty-four hours a day. Recently, Registry Magic, Inc., through its subsidiary, BlueStreak Networks, Inc., has begun to develop applications that enable individuals to access information and conduct transactions using voice as an interface. These applications are aimed at Internet content providers, e-commerce companies, and brick-and-mortar retailers who wish to extend their distribution channel to include a voice interface. On November 6, 2000, the company announced the signing of a merger agreement with Bristol Retail Solutions, Inc. (NasdaqOTCBB: BRTL). Bristol Retail Solutions, with headquarters in Long Beach, Calif., is one of the largest Point-of-Sale dealers in the country having installed their retail automation systems in more than 16,000 retail locations. “The combined company will leverage Registry Magic's leading edge technology and Bristol Retail Solutions' distribution channels to bring customer driven applications to the Point-of-Sale marketplace.'' said Lawrence Cohen, chairman of Registry Magic. Last
week (Nov. 13 –17), Registry Magic’s BlueStreak Networks division teamed
up with cell phone giant Ericcson, Inc. (NasdaqNM: ERICY) at the COMDEX
show in Las Vegas to demonstrate the industry’s first Point-of-Sale
application utilizing Bluetooth technology. Using Ericsson's new,
leading-edge cell phone technology with BlueStreak Networks' patented,
proprietary software and hardware, the two companies revealed how consumer
and corporate travelers and shoppers can significantly enhance the
convenience, security and speed of the retail experience. Based on the
Bluetooth standards and WAP protocol that will be incorporated into
millions of cellular phones around the world, BlueStreak's solution
provides the capability to become the secure center for personal
information that people can use anywhere and anytime. In addition,
BlueStreak Networks' patented BASS (Biometric Access Security System)
technology provides an additional level of security for information passed
via cell phones. The recent merger of BlueStreak Networks' parent company,
Registry Magic, with Bristol Retail Solutions provides a fast track for
BlueStreak to bring this technology to the market. A comprehensive array
of services is under development by BlueStreak in the fields of WAP and
wireless LANs. Ultimately, the company seeks to lead the wireless
evolution by linking independent mobile devices with one platform for the
management of personal information that is used everywhere.
Bluetooth is a
wireless technology standard introduced in 1998, by Ericsson, Microsoft,
IBM, Intel, Nokia, Motorola, 3Com, Lucent and Toshiba. The Bluetooth
specifications use low-cost, short-range radio signals to provide
connections to devices such as mobile phones, handheld devices, and mobile
computers. “With this intuitive and convenient solution, I believe
BlueStreak Networks has jumped to the forefront of mCommerce by developing
the most secure process utilizing WAP over Bluetooth,” said Lawrence
Cohen, president and CEO of BlueStreak Networks. “We realized that more
transactions occur every day at the point-of-sale than on the entire
internet.” It is the
opinion of Stockprowler that Registry Magic’s innovative and patented POS
technology may well render credit/debit cards obsolete and radically
change the way we all do business. The teaming with Ericsson creates a
powerful synergy and first mover advantage over other later arriving
entrants into the POS field. Registry Magic is also a player in the voice
recognition market with its Virtual Operator that can perform the tasks of
a live operator as it answers and routes calls for companies large and
small. The integratration of its voice recognition technologies with its
current WAP/BlueTooth m-commerce effort with Ericsson offers interesting
possibilities for the future. The wireless Web appeals to the human desire
for freedom and convenience. It is expected that the number of Web-enabled
cell phones using WAP (Wireless Application Protocol) technology will hit
26 million sold by years end. Investment bank, Commonwealth Associates,
the main financial backer of Registry Magic estimates the
telecommunications speech-recognition market alone will exceed $5 billion
by the end of 2001. As news from the COMDEX show gets around, Stockprowler
expects the stock price of RMAG to rise to levels more in line with the
company’s market potential. Shares of RMAG closed at 2 3/16, up 7/16 on
the week. Volume on Friday was 172,800 or 4 times the 3 month daily
average. Good
trading… Stockprowler
