The National Family Opinion Poll conducted in 1994 revealed that 90 million Americans over the age of 18 snore and 37 million are considered habitual snorers. On September 24, Med Gen, Inc. announced that Wal-Mart (NYSE:WMT - news) has decided to expand its distribution of the company’s proprietary consumer product, SNORenz®, to more than 1700 stores nationwide. Wal-Mart's decision follows a successfully concluded Beta-test in 314 of its stores that has been on going since last April. The company’s SNORenz® product is now sold in 25,000 stores nationwide including, in addition to Wal-Mart: Walgreens, K-Mart, Eckerd Drugs, Brooks Pharmacy, Osco Drugs, Stop & Shop, Albertsons and many others.

IRI, a consumer market research firm recently ranked SNORenz® 8th in the consumer category “Sleep Aids”.
