Stockprowler Watch

Here are some stocks we are watching closely!

Our next pick will be 1/8/06!

BRHI

ESNR

QBID

DIMEZ

Looking back at our 3 wild card picks for the summer, here's how we did… Pick #1, RAE Systems Sept. $5 calls trading at 30 cents ask when we did our report, climbed as high as 50 cents and then cratered when the 10Q came out. Great products, but RAE management and sales team just can't seem to aggressively go after their market… Pick #2, OSFT (now NNGY) delivered for us big time going all the way from .0009, at the time of our report, to a high of .013 before doing a reverse split and becoming Nanergy, Inc. That's a gain of over 1300%... Pick #3, Dime Bancorp Litigation Tracking Warrants (NasdaqNM: DIMEZ) was trading at 14 cents when we wrote our report and climbed as high as 25 cents in the following months. The case has yet to go to trial. The actual lawsuit seeks $650 million dollars. If the court were to award the full amount being sought, given taxes, the upper limit on the valuation of the DIMEZ warrants would be about $3.00 …

Stockprowler picks 4 speculations for the Fall...

Wild Card Pick #1

Braintech, Inc. - OTCBB: BRHI
Closing Price Friday 9/30/2005: 51 cents

Braintech Inc. has partnered with ABB U.S. (NYSE:ABB), to create a commercial out-of-the-box vision-enabled robotic system, called TrueView. It includes an ABB robot and controller and Braintech's eVisionFactory software, a CCD camera, a Windows-based computer, an integrated lighting system, a robotic hand, conveyors, and enclosures for the system. The ABB/Braintech solution covers a range of applications, including materials handling, spot welding, machining, applying adhesives or sealant, spray painting, automated assembly, and inspection or identification of parts.

"It's very expensive for a company to have to set up a factory line so that parts are presented in the exact same position to a robot over time. A non-vision-enabled robot will crash or miss if it goes for a part and comes up empty, resulting in a costly and time-consuming line shutdown," stated Dion Spurr, engineering manager for the robot automation group of ABB U.S.

The camera in a vision-enabled robot lets the robot see the position of a loose or moving part and adjust itself accordingly to manipulate it. The system calculates a component's position on the fly, grasps it, inspects it, and moves it to where it needs to go.

On September 26, Braintech, Inc. announced it has invented a novel approach to visually tracking moving parts such as those transported on conveyors. The new technology, called SCTrac(TM), (patent pending) uses one or more cameras to image a given part in real time and provides an industrial robot with a continuous stream of data about where the part is, how fast and in what direction it is moving. The innovative TrueView(TM) MovingLine system featuring ABB's IRC5 controller integrated with Braintech's eVF software platform, Braintech's SC3D guidance technology and the SCTrac tracking technology was co-demonstrated by Braintech and ABB at International Robots & Vision Show September 27-29.

Commenting on the SCTrac Babak Habibi, COO of Braintech and co-inventor says, "I view the SCTrac technology as a breakthrough in this field since it overcomes several key issues that have kept these systems limited to the academic world. The technology is an important enabler for a number of new and exciting applications we've seen in manufacturing such as the possibility of eliminating stop stations. Currently, parts have to come to a stop for robots to operate on them, which is clearly not very efficient. SCTrac makes it possible for robots to work on parts while in motion, significantly improving production throughput. Other interesting applications of the technology include dynamic materials handling, assembly or measurement where the objects of interest are in motion during the robotic process."

Jerry Osborn, Vice President and General Manager, ABB Robot Automation commented, "Braintech continues to deliver technologies important to us and to our customers. With SCTrac, we can now offer our customers with continuous moving lines, highly accurate, vision-guided systems similar to benefits being realized in plants utilizing stop stations. As a result the market for TrueView continues to expand."

Wild Card Pick #3

Triangle Multi-Media Limited, Inc. - OTC: QBID
Closing Price Friday 9/30/2005: $0.0008

QBID is the stock recommended to us by a Stockprowler contributor, Mike Blais, almost 2 years ago when it was trading at $0.0001 …At the time, I personally told Mike that his investment of $100 for 1 million shares of QBID was like taking $100 and throwing it out the window. Well, about 2 months later, Mike cashed in his 1 million shares of QBID for $21,000!!! Sounds unbelievable, but it is a true story. Anyway, looks like history is getting ready to repeat itself. Triangle Multi-Media Limited, Inc. (OTC:QBID), for those that don't know, is the premium television network organized to create, develop and feature television programming for the gay and lesbian community, including live & interactive content every weeknight, plus sports, information and entertainment. While the company expects much of its subscriber base to be comprised of members of the gay and lesbian population, management also believes that quality programming about the gay and lesbian experience, designed to entertain, educate and inform, will attract many other segments of the viewing public. The network is telecast 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Providing distribution via satellite ensures availability of the network across the United States, including Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico.

Consider this:

  • Sept. 15, 2005--Triangle Multi-Media Limited, Inc., (OTCBB Other: QBID), the parent company of Q Television Network, announced today the purchase of Network Teleports Inc.(NTI) of New Orleans. The purchase will be made with private financing of five million dollars, and will not dilute Triangle Multi Media stock, QBID. The purchase will include an ownership position by the private equity group, but controlling interest will be with Triangle Multi Media. We have begun to secure long term contracts generating more than $20,000.00 per day from Fortune 500 companies requiring uplink services in the New Orleans area. We feel this purchase will greatly add to Triangle's bottom line, but more importantly this purchase will streamline transmission of the Q Television Network from our studios in Burbank, CA," said Frank Olsen, CEO and founder of Triangle Multi Media and it's subsidiary, Q Television Network.
  • Sept. 29, 2005--Strengthening its presence throughout North America, Q Television Network (Pink Sheets: QBID - News) has announced its launch into two new Time Warner Cable divisions. The gay and lesbian community's premiere 24/7 television network will be available to viewers in Rochester and Syracuse, New York, beginning Saturday October 1, 2005.
  • This announcement marks QTN's continued expansion throughout Time Warner Cable. For Time Warner Cable customers in Rochester, QTN will be offered as an a la carte channel 454, available 24 hours per day, seven days per week with a complementary video on demand (VOD) option on channel 453 for all QTN subscribers. In Syracuse, Time Warner Cable customers can access QTN as a 24/7 premium offering on channel 380 and as VOD on channel 381. "We are delighted that Time Warner Cable has chosen to add QTN to its channel lineups in Rochester and Syracuse," said Carol Hinnant, Vice President, Affiliate Sales & Marketing. "And we're confident that gay and lesbian viewers in these areas will benefit greatly as we continue our quest to capture and deliver the voice of the GLBT community through quality live and original programming." "Recognizing the diversity that exists in this market with its truly unprecedented roster of creative, entertaining and high-energy live programs, Q Television meets the needs of the gay and lesbian community," said Time Warner Rochester Division President Jeff Hirsch. "We look forward to a long and successful relationship." Added Time Warner Vice President for Public Affairs Jeff Unaitis, "We have been looking for just the right blend of news and entertainment to satisfy our growing contingency of gay and lesbian viewers, who have been actively requesting such a network, and QTN offers an exciting programming package that more than answers that call."

Wild Card Pick #4

Dime Bancorp Litigation Tracking Warrants (NasdaqNM: DIMEZ)
Closing Price Friday 4/29/2005: 14 cents

These financial instruments are termed warrants, but in fact, are more akin to rights. They offer the buyer an opportunity to receive common stock if a particular event not related to price of the common stock occurs. There is no exercise price, nor is there a definitive expiration date... the warrants expire shortly after litigation has been concluded. The warrants offer purchasers the opportunity to receive 85% of a settlement after taxes and lawyers fees have been taken out. Washington Mutual bought out Dime Bancorp several years ago and inherited Dime Bancorp's lawsuit. Thus, the warrants trade as DIMEZ, although the underlying stock for the warrants is Washington Mutual (NYSE:WM).

The number of shares of Washington Mutual that a holder of the DIMEZ warrants is entitled to after settlement of the litigation is difficult to determine and is dependent on several variables. The actual lawsuit seeks $650 million dollars. If the court were to award the full amount being sought, given taxes, the upper limit on the valuation of the DIMEZ warrants would be about $3.00

History - The lawsuit was filed against the United States government way back in January of 1995 by Anchor Bancorp, which later merged with Dime Bancorp. Between 1982 and 1985, Anchor acquired 8 failing savings and loan operations. Four of the acquisitions involved financial assistance from the Federal Savings and Loan Insurance Corporation (FSLIC). Liabilities in these transactions exceeded assets by $650 million. Anchor alleged that FSLIC agreed that this sum could be recorded as goodwill, and that Anchor would not have made the acquisitions if this had not been the case.

Enacted in 1989, the Financial Institutions Reform, Recovery, and Enforcement Act required that the aforementioned goodwill be eliminated immediately. The company argues that this action placed severe restrictions on its activities and forced the company to sell valuable assets under liquidation-like circumstances. This case is expected to be argued in court in 2005.

Well, all right, that's it for now… place your bets, sit back and relax. Remember, this is speculation not investing and quite often we get rewarded BIG for taking a chance…
